Medical & Accident Insurance is Compulsatory in Switzerland.

EU Residents
You can get an exemption from the obligation to use a Swiss insurance company. Before starting your studies abroad, all EU Students must obtain a European Health Insurance Card from their home country public medical care. A copy of that card will be submitted to the Swiss authorities.

The medical and accident insurance provided by a foreigner Governament must be equivalent to the coverage offered by compulsory Swiss Insurances.

Non-EU Residents
We suggest not contracting medical insurance for the length of your stay in Switzerland before starting your studies in you home country. It might not be equivalent to that coverage offered by a compulsory Swiss insurance. We strongly advice you contracting a Health Insurance before moving to Switzerland to study to be 100% cover in case of accident or illness. Our partners are Golden Care

Business School Lausanne will assist you in finding the right Medical & Accident insurance depending on your needs.

BSL collaborates with Golden Care, which provides an insurance especially designed for students. Prices start from CHF 1'057.- per year. This insurance doesn't take into account pre-existing illness and is suggested for students who are overall in good health.

For those who regularly use medical care, we suggest to take a regular Swiss insurer plan. Prices start from CHF 2'000.- per year (CHF 2'500.- yearly personal contribution on costs incurred) up to CHF 4'500.- per year (CHF 300.- yearly personal contribution on costs incurred).
