Professional Career
Nadege is a Business Development leader and a researcher with strong interest on trade and investment issues as well as demonstrated skills in French speaking West Africa for close to a decade now. Nadege currently works for the American conglomerate GE Transportation, a Wabtec Company as Senior Sales Manager, covering Francophone West and Central Africa. In this role, she is responsible for market growth, business development, the creation and implementation of project initiatives to increase Wabtec’s pipeline of opportunities and footprint in French speaking countries. Before joining the transportation sector, she worked for GE Global Growth Operations where she was in charge of market development within Central Africa supporting oil & gas, power & water, healthcare and aviation business units.
Prior to the above, Nadège spent over four years in the sector of Community Research and Development where she progressively worked as research and project manager assistant on local and transnational development projects within agencies like the German International Cooperation (GIZ) and the European Union (EU) covering the Central Africa Region.
Aside her professional portfolio, Nadege has close to ten years’ experience of voluntary service in youth work and has a long-standing involvement in civil society where she actively supports many non-profit organizations working toward women and youth development. She served as Female Commonwealth Youth Ambassador for Cameroon, focal point of the GE Women Network in Cameroon among other roles.

Statement of Motivation for a DBA
I am motivated to pursue a Doctorate in Business Administration in order to further an academic research career and contribute to the development of new business practices in the rail transportation industry when it comes to Foreign Direct Investment. With a strong interest to deeply understand (American) foreign direct investment in Africa in general and in the rail sector in particular, I believe the research route will help me learn theoretical knowledge which is behind observed US rail manufacturing firms market penetration practices in Africa. The ultimate goal of here being to improving those practices for the benefit of Multinational Corporations (MNCs) operating or desiring to expand their footprint in Sub-Saharan African countries but also to benefiting countries.
