Based on Professor Julien de Grandbois’ BBA Entrepreneurship class, Summer 2018, and his role as First Jury member named by the International University of Monaco, two BSL students have registered their Business Plan entries in ‘The 2019 Mark Challenge’. This is the world Business Plan competition for Best Business School Start-Up Business Plan. This global competition is hosted on an annual basis in the Principality of Monaco. It is organised under the auspices of the International University of Monaco. The International Business Plan competition in Monaco is called ‘THE MARK CHALLENGE’.
BSL students Team Leaders Alexandre Watry and Andrea Sacco from the Summer 2018 Entrepreneurship class will take part in the upcoming competition in Monaco.
Both students may also submit a second BP of their own start-ups which means that BSL may have 3 or 4 projects listed in the 2019 international competition.
Financial and in-kind awards are generous, including sponsorships and funding, marketing promotion and product development support services for the three first winners, as well as luxury yachting cruises from Monaco for the final winners.
The Business Plans must address the high-end luxury markets, as well as have specific environmental improvement and social impact components.
The BPs are presented before three Jury panels chosen from 72 business schools. Entrepreneurship Professor Julien de Grandbois of Business School Lausanne was named to the First Jury for the second year.
Jurors are professionals and academics with hands-on entrepreneurial experience, as well as international corporate and business management education backgrounds.
For the moment there are 72 Business Plans registered in the international competition. By the time the candidature period is up on 16th February, there might be more than a hundred business start-up projects from around Europe. Forty-six countries are participating to date.
Switzerland is well represented this year. Business students’ projects are from BSL Business School Lausanne, EHL Business School, Glion HM Business School, Les Roches HM Business School.
High-level visibility media, social media, and events are granted to the three finalists.
Prestigious personalities from the Principality of Monaco and the European corporate world are part of the Final Jury Selection Committee. Students’ exposure will be the widest business audience across Europe with international scope.
Also, Canada, India, Russia, and Singapore have registered their business schools’ entries, among the other 46 nationalities to compete for the Best BP.
All our finest wishes and good luck to Alexandre WATRY and Andrea SACCO!
