Final Departing Thoughts
The BSL Business Innovation Week was devised to empower students by giving them the opportunity to build their inner entrepreneurial spirit, all whilst self-organizing to create learning spheres and activities from issues that concerns or intrigues our student body the most.
Some 13 years ago, the Kauffman Foundation for entrepreneurship in the United States founded the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). You may or may not have seen the trending #GEW or #GlobalEntrepreneurshipWeek hastags floating around this past week and, in all honesty, kudos to the Kauffman Foundation for having made this a success. (I mean, the numbers do speak for themselves).
Yet I believe that there is something about our Business Innovation Week which truly ties in not only application of learnings, problem-solving skills, the desire to get out of one’s comfort zone, to create and be creative… something I can’t quite put my finger on…
Maybe my perception is a bit skewed as we have had entrepreneurial students win prizes for their business ideas, present at the Mark Challenge in Monaco, for both in the Bachelor/Master and MBA categories. At the end of the day, I am simply proud of our community and student body with what they all doing and achieving as a collective unit. Some of the more impressive routes some of our students undertake seem, for lack of a better word, un-worldly. Their thoughts and passions far surpass mine and it always makes me jealous of their creative thought processes. I can’t even begin to imagine how fellow peers felt when listening to fellow Swiss National, Mr. Albert Einstein…
Speaking of which, although Albert Einstein is mostly known for devising his theory of relativity, which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the universe, he is also know for a few creating and inspiring quotes. One of his lesser known ones is one that I would like to share with you as my final message today. No matter who you are, no matter how big your dreams, hopes, wishes, desires… We must all try, attempt, dare, aim, aspire, struggle, experiment… A.E. said: “Creativity is contagious, pass it on.” and I encourage you all to look creatively at everything.
And it starts to make sense… This is why Business School Lausanne and it’s Business Innovation Week really speaks to me…
It is contagious.

Today, students both on site and online will be brought into KaosPilot+ Berlin’s realm, given teamwork tasks and assignments… but hush hush! We don’t want to spoil the surprise of what it is!
Shai Hoffmann will wrap up the afternoon, right before final Group Work evaluations and a tour of their Filmstudios
Keep an eye out on their social media feeds for insider pictures of our BIW!
