The Academic Citizens’ Assembly (ACA) is a model of a citizens’ assembly built on academic principles (evidence-based, lobby-free, no ideology), open to the whole society and, using a novel process and tools, scalable to potentially include millions of participants. This deliberative and participative approach builds on the Swiss tradition of direct democracy, and aims to bridge the gap between high-quality deliberation and decision-making of past citizens’ assemblies, and the legitimacy of direct democracy.

BSL is having national impact by contributing to this Earth Day 2023 initiative:

Join us in commemorating Earth Day 2023 on April 26 from 14h to 18h at Av. Bergières 10, 1004 Lausanne. Brought to you in close collaboration with ImpactHub Lausanne, The Climate Reality Project Europe, and Academic Citizen’s Assembly

This year, our focus for this day is ‘Energy’. Your journey will commence with a deepening or brushing up of your knowledge on the topic. Next, the fun part begins with open discussions to formulate solutions for collective decision-making using the tool developed by our trusted expert Sascha Nick. Lastly, we will open the space up to apéro (natural wine tasting) and networking.

We look forward to discussing, reflecting and learning all together.

On the occasion of the Business Innovation Week – Summer 2022, about sixty students from the Business School Lausanne (Bachelor and Master), divided into 5 working groups, analyzed Les Paniers de La Mule’s business model to make recommendations.

The groups presented their results to their peers, as well as to the BSL management. They integrated the remarks and questions, to synthesize them.
