Professional Career & Mini Bio
Dr. Agnieszka Kapalka has several years of professional experience in academia as well as in the private sector (corporate and startup environments). Throughout her professional career, she was conducting multi-disciplinary research and managing cutting-edge innovation projects. The scope of her research and innovation activities included: sustainable business development, environmental protection, development of technologically advanced security solutions for governments (identification, traceability, authentication).
She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) and an MBA from Business School Lausanne. Agnieszka has published over twenty scientific papers in international journals, patents, and book chapters (>3000 citations, h-index 20). She received EPFL Doctorate Award and the Oronzio and Niccolo De Nora Foundation Prize Of International Society of Electrochemistry in recognition of her outstanding work.
