Professional Career & Mini Bio
Dr. Terleth teaches Advanced Communication & Team Dynamics at BSL. Since 1991, Dr. Terleth worked as an associate professor in cancer research as well as teaching at the medical school in Leiden (NL). He published 25 peer reviewed papers and taught some 4000 medical students. In 2002, he switched gears and ever since has held positions as director or board member in several healthcare organizations. Around 2016, he started his own company Unorsum on the side, specializing in training & coaching of teams and individuals in the areas of communication, leadership and personal development. Dr. Terleth’s formal training contains a BSc in Medical Biology, an MSc in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Chemistry. His 1991 thesis “Differential DNA repair of UV damage in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae” was awarded as best thesis by the Dutch Genetic Society. In 1999 he was elected “Best Teacher in Medicine” by the student board of the Medical School. Besides, he followed several formal educations for board members as well as for becoming a professional coach and trainer. He is a certified trainer at Humanication as well as a DISC trainer. Dr. Terleth has a daughter and a son and lives with his girlfriend in a rural area in the east of the Netherlands.
