Professional Career & Mini Bio

Dr. Olga Wendling is a professor specializing in sustainable business strategies and transformation, bringing two decades of international experience in corporate strategy, business development, and partnerships across industries, including food, commodity trading, IT, and technology. Her expertise lies in guiding organizations through complex transformations and fostering sustainable business growth. Combing a strategic overview with a pragmatic, hands-on approach, she is a strong believer in Jack Welch’s famous motto “Strategy is important, but execution is key.”


In addition to her academic role, Dr. Wendling works as a business transformation consultant and Board Advisor, helping her clients to design and execute growth strategies, develop innovative product portfolio, and build go-to-market partnerships. Further, she creates and delivers corporate training programs, tools and frameworks to help her clients articulate their value propositions, negotiate effectively, and advance their leadership capabilities.


Previously, Dr. Wendling held leadership roles in multinational corporations such as INMARSAT, SITA Group, and BUNGE Ltd., where she was responsible for developing and implementing regional business strategies, negotiating strategic partnerships, and driving large-scale transformation initiatives. She has extensive experience working in complex matrix environments, leading cross-functional teams, and engaging stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.


Dr. Wendling holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a PhD in International Business Law from Moscow Law Academy. Having lived and worked on three continents, she is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Russian and brings a global perspective to her teaching and research.


With a passion for driving impactful change, Olga devotes a part of her time to mentoring impact female entrepreneurs in developing countries, supporting them in strategic growth and business transformation.
