Professional Career & Mini Bio

Dr. Sang Joon Kim holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from BSL Business School Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Seoul Business School, aSSIST University, South Korea. Currently, he teaches courses in Research Methodology, Advanced Business Statistics, and AI and Management at Inha University, South Korea. Dr. Sang Joon Kim also holds an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. His academic journey began with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from POSTECH, South Korea.


With over 20 years of industry experience, Dr. Kim has led IPO projects, conducted capital investment analyses, managed business planning for major initiatives, and driven international business development for both venture companies and large international corporations in South Korea and Saudi Arabia. His research focuses on developing sustainable growth business models for corporations and reducing carbon footprints to address climate change. His work with AI-based ventures has expanded his research scope, enabling him to integrate advanced AI methodologies into his studies.


His research has been published in respected journals such as Finance Research Letters and Applied Economics Letters. He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Business Strategy and the Environment and Finance Research Letters. A committed lifelong learner, he earned the CFA Charter in 2014 and passed all U.S. CPA exams in 2018. His goal is to bridge industry insights with academic research, advancing knowledge that benefits both academia and society.
