Research Specialty

The importance of diagnosing sarcopenia is growing as it is beginning to be recognized as a disease rather than a concept of aging. Prior research has shown that there is a need to develop standard global guidelines for sarcopenia diagnosis and an easy diagnostic process. I am participating in a research project of the Korean Sarcopenia Society on a sarcopenia diagnostic platform and global guidelines to improve both needs. I believe this research will contribute to prevention and treatment plans for metabolic diseases in the aging population.

Statement of Motivation for a DBA

I’ve been worked in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industry my entire career, and I’ve seen patients struggle to access tertiary care for treatment. With the recent introduction of innovative medical devices, the quality of care for patients in primary and secondary care is improving. In the DBA program, I hope to increase my ability to study how these innovative AI-based medical device can improve the quality of care provided to more patients.
