Inès Matallah, French, is a student in the BSL Bachelor of Business Administration class of 2014-2016. For Inès, one of the main reasons to study business is her interest in addressing other people’s needs and interests. She also foresees becoming “her own boss” one day.
What are you passionate about?
I love discovering new cultures and facing new challenges. I’d also love to travel all over Europe and South America.
How would you describe your BSL experience so far?
I’ve been at BSL for only about 3 months now, but I already saw that the professors are really interesting, great teachers and also successful business people who are here to help us evolve in our own way of thinking and doing.
Here at BSL, we are a small group of people; we are like a family, in a way. We help and support each other, communicate easily and will remember our studies not only as a professional experience, but also as a personal one.
How do you see your professional future in 5 years from now?
I don’t really know, but I could see myself working in finance, real estate or business law. This is what I am really interested in.
If there is one significant change you could accomplish in the world, what would it be?
Change the way people see foreigners, in Switzerland and other countries. Being half Algerian, half French myself, I have already experienced racism and this is the most unfair behavior.
There is no leader without a good team to support him/her.
What are the most important values today’s leaders should have?
Fairness, creative thinking when it comes to conflict resolution, and paying attention to details. And most of all, there is no leader without a good team to support him/her.
