Professional Career & Mini Bio

Silvio Riva is a Dr. Master Engineer (equivalent to a Master Degree in engineering) in Industrial Engineering with 20 years of experience in diverse international environments (L’Oreal, Syngenta and Novartis). Having lived and worked in several countries, throughout his career, he has contributed to strategic operations and supply chain management, and in his recent achievement crafting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) strategies, specifically focusing on issues related to handicap and disability, for approximately 12,000 persons. He has served as Non-Executive Director (NED) and as board member of several NGOs. He is a Senior Consultant for von Rundstedt where he is focusing on outplacement activities including executive assessments, career strategies and training. At BSL, Silvio is Business School Professor of Practice teaching Change Management strategies and
applications.

Silvio’s commitment to continuous learning is evidenced by the completion of several executive learning programs, including executive learnings in Digital Strategy at IMD (Lausanne), Executive MBA with focus in Management and Corporate Finance (HEC Lausanne), Board of Directors trainings (EPFL), executive program at SDA Bocconi (Milan).

Driven by a profound appreciation for people and human connections and the symbiotic relationships they foster, he derives immense satisfaction from mentoring coaches, executives, and budding startups in their nascent stages, focusing primarily on strategy, organization, and risk management. Beyond his professional endeavours, he is committed to leaving a lasting, positive imprint on the world, actively contributing to environments that prioritize growth, collaboration, and authentic exchanges.
