Academic Calendar
The Academic Year runs on four terms per year:
2024-2025 Academic Year:
- Fall term 2024: September 9 – November 15
(1-week term break: Nov 18 – Nov 22) - Winter term 2024-2025: November 25 – February 14
(1-week term break: Feb 17 – Feb 21) - Spring term 2025: February 24 – May 9
(1-week term break: May 12 – May 16) - Summer term 2025: May 19 – July 25 (No MIB intake)
Up to 5 courses are scheduled each term, depending on the program option and term.

Admission Requirements & Deadlines
The program is for those who are passionate about business and looking for a bachelor degree that is directly applicable upon graduation. Our MIB students are open-minded and curious about how business operates all around the world. We select students who are committed to excellence and who have an affinity to BSL’s values and vision.
Application Deadlines
September intake

Am I eligible?
If you have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, can meet our minimum English proficiency requirements (see below for details), then you are eligible to apply for the program. Your application will only be considered once all documents below have been submitted, and the application fee of 120 CHF has been processed.

Receipt of CHF 120 application fee – this can be paid online.

Note: Foreign official degrees must be certified by a legal authority such as a Public Notary, with translation when necessary.
Official transcripts
Complete list of the courses taken and grades earned by a student throughout a course.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)
An up-to-date curriculum vitae/resume (overview of studies, relevant working experience if any and activities)
Motivation letter
A motivation letter / essay highlighting your perspective on your professional future, the reasons why you wish to study business, why you believe BSL is the right school for you and your goals and experience as they relate to higher education.
Recommendation letters
Two recommendation letters (signed and printed on official letterhead paper) from school principals, school counselors, teachers and / or employers. These letters should include, for example, your skills, dependability, personal character, contributions (to class or community) and accomplishments.
Proof of English proficiency
If English is not your first language, you need to provide the results of an English proficiency test such as an internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL IBT) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) taken no longer than 2 years prior to the application. An English proficiency test is required for international applicants who attended a non-English speaking school or work place.
Minimum requirements (only one test necessary):
- TOEFL IBT 90
- TOEFL CBT 575
- IELTS 6.5
- TOEIC 800
- Language Cert – Low C1 (Expert Level)
Portrait photograph
A passport style photograph in digital format.
Copy of ID
A copy of your passport or identity card.
Copy of permit
A copy of your Swiss B/C permit, if applicable.
Admissions Process
Review the admission criteria
Submit Application & Supporting documents. (includes the payment of a CHF 120 application fee)
Notification on your application status – Our Admissions team will update you on the eligibility of your profile and the status of your application within one week.
Interview – We conduct interviews with shortlisted applicants on campus (when possible) and via Skype / phone. Your motivation, extracurricular activities, interpersonal skills and maturity will be assessed during the interview.
Admissions decision – The admissions committee makes a decision based on the information provided in the application and the interview performance. Admissions results are available within max a week following the interview.
Reserve a seat in the program – Successful candidates are required to pay a non-refundable administration fee of CHF 1’900 and cover the first semester fee in order to reserve a seat in the program.
Full Acceptance – Upon receiving your payment confirmation, we will send you a Full Acceptance letter which confirms your seat in the program.
