Our Programme’s Accrediting Body Since 1996: ACBSP

ACBSP: A long-standing Accrediting Body for Business School Lausanne

BSL programs have been ACBSP accredited since 1996.

As early as1988, representatives from 150 leading business schools united to redefine the accreditation landscape. Driven by a shared commitment to excellence in teaching and student outcomes, they established the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), “ACBSP Accreditation has become the gold standard for quality and excellence in business education. With over 1,100 member campuses, ACBSP has become one of the largest and most influential networks of business schools and programs globally”.

The accreditation of BSL’s programs by ACBSP provides students with an internationally recognized validation of the quality of their education, enhancing the credibility of their qualifications with employers.

ACBSP ignites a standard of excellence with an accreditation process based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence. By evaluating aspects of leadership, strategic planning, relationships with stakeholders, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials, and educational support, ACBSP assesses whether or not business programs offer a rigorous educational experience and commitment to continuous quality improvement.

At BSL, we view accreditations as a commitment to continuous improvement.

Providing a high-quality learning experience to our students requires ongoing reflection, evaluation, and a commitment to improvement. This philosophy is embedded in everything we do—from curriculum design and teaching practices to student support.

Accreditation plays a vital role in this process. Beyond recognizing the quality of our academic programs, accreditation provides a structured framework for continuous improvement. Through regular self-assessment, peer review, and external evaluation, accreditation bodies help institutions identify strengths, uncover opportunities for enhancement, and implement meaningful improvements that benefit students, faculty, and the wider academic community.

For BSL, accreditation is therefore much more than a quality label. It is a valuable partnership that encourages us to benchmark our performance against internationally recognized standards, adopt best practices, and remain responsive to the evolving needs of learners and employers.
